Mission in Dominican Republic

Dr Federica Fioravanti partecipated for the second year to a non-profit health care program which focuses on primary medical and surgical eye care to under-served rural areas in Central America and the Dominican Republic.
During this mission 1214 patients were screened and received primary eye care and 400 surgeries were performed (cataracts, strabismus, oculoplastc surgery and laser)
Doctor Federica performed visual screening in children and strabismus surgery in children and adults.
Glasses and sunglasses were donated to patients.

Emergency eye exam

At our Ophthalmological Surgery Center, a first aid service is active for all emergencies in the ophthalmological field.
The service is active from Monday to Friday (excluding holidays) from 8.30 to 19.30 after telephone contact.

The service allows the user to avoid long waits at the hospital and guarantees an immediate eye exam by an ophthalmologist.

New York Eye and Ear Infirmary

As usual, Doctor Giulia Fioravanti has spent a period of time at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York in the Oculoplastics division of the Ophthalmology department.

She did blepharoplasty, aestetic medicine, botox, dermal fillers with other American colleagues with whom she collaborate.

2018 AAPOS Annual Meeting with ISA

WASHINGTON DC, 18-22 March 2018

The annual congress of AAPOS (American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus) joint with ISA (International Strabismological Association) was held in Washington, where leading international experts met to discuss the latest innovations in diagnostic and therapeutic treatment of pediatric ophthalmology diseases and strabismus of children and adults.

Dr. Federica Fioravanti attended it and brought home interesting updates in the medical and surgical field.
